I hope you all have a happy and safe Thanksgiving! I can't believe it is already this time of the year (NO - that is most certainly not a complaint!) I love the holidays and everything about them. Except for the part that we never spend Thanksgiving with family in Maine. But - I liiiiiive for the holidays!!
I'm feeling especially thankful this year. I think every year that goes by I learn to appreciate more and more things in this life. I've learned that things can be taken away from you quicker than you even knew you had them and nothing is ever guaranteed. Which is why the "things" in life are very often not very important. And why I've come to realize that I lead a very lucky life. And, although i have not been home for a Thanksgiving since 2005 (which horrifies me) I'm happy that some of my family is together. I am so thankful for each and every one of you - both Mahar and Yerxa side - and for those of you who get to spend the day together.
Here's some of the things that I'm thankful for this year: (no particular order!)
- My family is happy and healthy.
- My healthy mind & body.
- My amazing husband.
- My supportive family.
- My kitty cats.
- Being happy in my job and truly enjoying what I do, and the families who welcome me into their homes.
- The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (I just love this part of Thanksgiving!) Did you see the Towson University marching band?? They were great! :)
- Home Alone marathon all day on FX
Happy Thanksgiving! Until next time...
